Wow 2 yrs!

So for my 2 year anniversary I decided to take a different path than what I had originally planned. No grand theme, no week long pre blast with silly photo shops. Just show up with the pax and put together a nice little bootcamp. 10 of us gathered for the first sub 40 degree morning to date. I’ll be honest, I was a little cold. Get started with the pledge, but no disclaimer, eventually I’ll get this Q stuff straight. [Read More]

Stand By Your Man

YHC doesn’t post at 0515 workouts every week - the times I have, the numbers have been, shall we say, non-problematic. However, on this particular Halloween morning there are 17 PAX, including 2 FNGs, up and at ’em at Koka Booth. Time to move. Warm Up Mosey to the big parking lot, circle up and warm up. SSHs and some other stuff, finish off with 5 CF merkins. The Thang Partner up for Tammy Wynette intervals: Partner 1 completes 20 Merkins while Partner 2 completes 20 squats, then flip flop. November 1

19 Pax showed up to the POGL newest Friday AO. No FNG’s this morning and no time to waste so let’s get started. Quick mosey around the lower parking lot and circled up. SSH’s, good mornings, calf stretch, sir fazio, and goofballs were called. Now that we are warmed up let’s begin. Most of my Q’s have some sort of theme, so we are going to spell out November. Partner up. [Read More]

Lexicon M&M,N,O

14 started in the gloom at Flying Circus. 13 ended. Our brother Swag rolled his ankle during the cross country trek through the mulch. A root took him down. Thanks to Gump for his swift action and emergency driving to get Swag back to his car and on his way home. Nobody dressed up for today - except your Q as a blue M&M for Lexicon MNO…well M&N, no O. Final Q in the POGL

15 PAX gathered in the POGL for YHC’s final Q in Apex. Two still to go next week in Cary before I ship up to Raleigh. This was also YHC’s second time ever Qing a limited run workout. After a painful outing at Rush Hour last night, I knew this was going to be a challenge! No FNGs. Disclaimer. Pledge. Warm Up Walk over to the parking lot immediately adjacent to the flag and circle up for the following exercises: [Read More]

Happy Gilmore or Water Boy which is it. Both movies definitely pleased the crowd.

PAX: Schilitz, Kermit, Whisper, Pikachu, Peeping Tom, Disco Duck, WWW, Vallencourt I had to give up my Q for Dazed and Confused because I could not post before my Q date so I audibled. I gave up my Q to a worthy Brother, Triple Lindy. So I did not have to look far to sign up for an empty Q slot. One of the best AOs in Cary, Rush Hour was wide the hell open. [Read More]

A Long Stiffness

16 PAX braved the second darkest AO in all of Carpex to see if YHC could really cause them all a long stiffness. EC was a plenty, as YHC was tricked into 3+ miles at around an 8 min pace. There were no FNGs, the disclaimer was given, and the pledge was recited. Warm Up Gassed from the long and fast EC, YHC decided to have the PAX circle up immediately for the following exercises: [Read More]

Morticia Addams, Wonder Bras, and Depends

A beautiful autumn morning, perfect for an F3 workout. YHC rolls in to Annie Jones Park to find Quikstop walking up and down the stairs holding a rucksack over his head. Frisco was supposed to join him for an EC run, but we didn’t see him. I wondered why the lot was so empty, and asked if Claymore starts at 05:30 or 05:45. Turns out it’s the latter, and I’m not the first Q to make that mistake recently. [Read More]

One Year - You get a clock!

One year ago I showed up to Apex Nature Park on a Monday and asked some guy named Disco Duck if this was the “workout group.” A couple of days later I’m running laps next to a dude with a monkey taped to his crotch. To try and sum up even just one year of highlights and memories would be a muggo sized feat. The current task at hand is to provide a worthy beatdown to the 32 PAX that chose to grace FOD on a beautiful Tuesday morning. [Read More]
