And Here's To You Mrs. Johnson

While planning my first Q at Hot For Teacher, I thought back to my school days. I don’t remember most of my teachers, but I remember Mrs. Johnson. She was a mean old witch who pushed her students hard and didn’t tolerate any nonsense. I hated her back then, but now I wish my own 2.0 could have a teacher just like her. With that inspiration, here’s what we did. [Read More]

Better Late Than Never

Eighteen PAX gathered this swampy moonlit morning at Carpex’s original limited-run AO, Tortoises. With the Dark of All Helmets fan club gathering happening over at SNS, YHC was very pleased with the turnout. Disco Duck and Frisco were already doing some EC, alternating intervals runs and pull-ups. YHC started to caution them that they might regret that later, but decided they would find out soon enough. No FNGs, but practice makes perfect, so let’s run through the disclaimer anyway. [Read More]

Smoked Legs

A dozen strong men avoided the big crowds at SNS to particiate in a Vanilla with sauce beatdown under the moonlight in the Lion’s Den on a glorious Wednesday moring. No FNG’s, yet disclaimer should be disclaimed and was with a friendly reminder to modfy as needed. 1st Exercise Pledge of Allegiance and off we went heading out of The St. Mary’s compound. Yesterday I scouted a few areas around Lion’s Den and set my sights on a common area just a short run away. [Read More]

Two Drink Minimum

Wow, the weather forecast was intimidating for my first Q at Rush Hour. I seriously thought it might be just me and Theismann, and I was nervous at trying to keep up with him, even when he is wearing a 20# weighted vest. So I packed up a cooler with some waters and cold towels as a mini SAG station, and headed down to lovely DTC. To my surprise, it was the largest turnout that I’ve experienced at Rush Hour, a PAX of 9, including two of our Friendly SW Guys (FSWGs - both of whom were wearing weighted vests). [Read More]

A stroll around the block

An even dozen found their way to the lower parking lot this morning which seems to be the only place we can start Hells Bells now. The top lot is always locked. No Pax were late so Red Ryder was disappointed we didn’t start with burpees. Warm-up – Everyone picked up a traveling bell and moseyed over the the parking lot. Warmed up with SSH, Good Mornings, calf stretch, and followed by sir fazio forward and backward. [Read More]

A-Team 5-year Anniversary 7-15-19

28 HIMs showed up to celebrate 5-years of wonderful workouts on Mondays! They were led by 108 years of experience on a classic tour of the site. Warm-Up WWW started the process with the standard disclaimer. There were no FNGs. We pledged allegiance to Old Glory and took off for a short run. WWW led us in GM, Abe Vigodas, Sir Fazio Arm Circles, Seal Claps, Eskimo Merkins (they are not cool), hamstring stretch, and runner’s stretch. [Read More]

It wasn’t a Murph

After stressing out for a few weeks about my first Q, it’s now Monday. I ping Peeping Tom, my cousin who EH’d me one year ago, to get some feedback on my plan. Grief is delivered, something about how I’m asking him about this the day before I’m supposed to Q. I attempt to correct him, stating I’m fine, I’ll have all day Tuesday to nail things down. Additional grief is exchanged about how I’ve actually only got 10 hours before the Q. [Read More]

Sally Showed Up

My first Q at Lion’s Den and boy am I excited. I’ve got my winkie all set and I’ve researched the area on Google Maps. It’s another hot and muggy morning but with the Shovel Flag planted by Sour Mash we are ready to begin. Disclaimer, no FNGs, Pledge of Allegiance. Set out on a mosey and Site Q tells me we must be quiet as we travel to and use the local park as the townhouse residence across the street claim this park as their own and is part of their HOA. This was a Gross morning

Most of you would agree that the humidity this morning was absolutely gross, which fit in perfectly with my plan for the morning. You see, today marked my 144th day since I started with F3, something that I randomly figured out while planning this workout yesterday. So it was only fitting that the workout be inspired by a “dozen dozen” or 144. After a nice EC ruck with Repeato which left us completely soaked with sweat, we waited for the crowd to gather.
