Ditch the Rock and Run the Race!

Showed up for the prerun and they said I could pick the route since I was the Q. Great, I always like doing routes backwards so lets do that! Which one?? Humm, Option 2. I knew that one well. Fast forward 20 minutes or so and I am confidently telling Largemouth that we are looking for a left but we weren’t. We missed the right turn but thankfully Largemouth got us back and only a minute or so late. [Read More]

COT

One time at FMJ, we did things.

Brain injuries are a bitch. Just when you think you’ve finally got your noggin screwed on straight, you try and keep up with Parker in a 50 yard dash and put yourself back on the IR. Or you live right for a week only to fall down a greenhouse (yes, I typed that right). Regardless of the how, the what comes next always sucks. Such is also the truth of my first Q back since Tony Hawking myself into a hospital August 4, 2018. [Read More]

Oops

11 pax came for the beatdown. 4 for the first time to Claymore. 1 site Q was there (Frisco was not the one.) TCLAPS for Earhart making his way back out after a scare with his digestive system (and praises!) Sometimes you plan a workout and then you get to the site and realize there are 2-3 more tennis courts than you thought there were. Oops! I intended to keeps our bodies moving for 45 mins, and we did, but in doing so maybe we did too many miles. [Read More]

Three's Company

I haven’t written a backblast in a while. I did Q Whiplash but apparently it isn’t required for that site. Good news is I got logged in automatically in my browser so here goes. I signed up for this Q because I was sick a week earlier and my kind friend Largemouth took the Q for me. Now it is the Friday after fireworks and Hi-liter called a stretching Q at the same AO. Baker's Dozen 60 Minute Co-Q

Jigglypuff popped his Co-Q cherry this morning when he teamed up with YHC to take on a 60 minute beatdown at Phoenix, Cary’s only Saturday AO. A lucky 13 came out including 1 FNG - Wrench for what turned out to be over 3.4 miles of running and other hoopla. Warm Up YHC’s watch of nearly a year decided to stop working. We started 1 minute late due to this but off we went down to the Kiosk. [Read More]

Go West

The Slack- and Twitter-spheres were abuzz for the first 75% of yesterday which led to a steep dropoff - all pointing to some unproblematic numbers for the 5th of July. Our suspicions were confirmed! FNG Check - Mission Statement - LET’S GO Run out to Evans and hang a left. Pause at the corner for Good Mornings, then turn onto Apex Barbeque back into the park for warmups consisting of IW / SM / CS / SFAC,OC,rSFAC,MN / CP. [Read More]

The Freedom Trail July 4th Convergence

@Qwerty, @Red Ryder and YHC met last week to plan the 2019 July 4th Convergence hoping to create something special. Our goal was to keep the PAX together in order to preserve fellowship and maybe a few exercises in-between. The disclaimer was disclaimed, the F3 Mission was delivered and Whitney Houston’s Star Spangled Banner put the PAX in a USA state of mind that included a Fly Over courtesy of Delta. [Read More]
