Once you get it, you can’t put it down; also, partner up to know your Brother

AO: SWW Date: 5/24/19 PAX: Adjacent, Beltway, Blue Water, Captain Jack, Denali, Honeycomb, FNG Keebler, Kitty Litter, Oofta, Joe Smith, Smokey, Stetson, Wonderbread, WWW The design of the workout came to mind when I met up with Hermès to pick-up approximately 200 decorative bricks. It was a workout loading them into the bed of my truck. Those bricks were of perfect coupon weight to challenge the HIMs. Time to party … brick party that is. [Read More]

Celebrating May 24th…on May 23rd

It was another glorious morning at the finest AO in Northwest Cary on a Thursday. While scrambling for a theme last night, I decided it would be fun to quiz the PAX on holidays, history and birthdays that occurred on May 24th. The only problem was, by the time we started our quiz this morning, I was quickly informed that today was not May 24th, but rather May 23rd. Details, details. [Read More]

How you planned may not always be how it happens.

Date: 5/20/19 PAX: EarharT, Intimidator, Monkey Nut, Quiver, Shut-in, WWW I had a planned routine going to the workout but during the initial mosey, I had a random synapse firing in my brain when I took notice of the inclined walkway to the amphitheater. I’m going to change it up and do 11’s. The reason for 11s is we do not do enough of it at HB so I wanted it to be the star thang. [Read More]

Mystery Grab Bag

Today the PAX took fate in their own hands with a game I like to call: Let’s Run Over To Some Hills And Randomly Pull Out Exercises From A Bag Written On Sheets Of Paper And Do These Exercises At The Top And Bottom Of The Previously Mentioned Hills or LROTSHARPOEFABWOSOPADTEATTABOTPMH for short. EC Runners included Sub, Hanson, GTL, Freebird, Orphan and YHC Disclaimer given to our FNG and we circle up [Read More]

Bass Ackwards

Slippery When Wet, May 17, 2019. 18 pax. 1099, Banjo, Captain Jack, Chanticler, Chipper, Denali, Grease Monkey, Greenbo, Hermes, Joe Smith, Kitty Litter, Michelob, Oofta, Quiver, Smokey, Stetson, Titanic, Whirlie, YHC is proof that tenure means nothing when executing a perfect Q. Unlike Frisco, who stole the show on his first ~5~ 10 VQs, YHC has learned next to nothing on how to operate the F3 Q machine. But if catching it on the chin from fellow pax is a sign of respect, boy did I get it today. [Read More]

Day 362 of F3

Today was a number of milestones for YHC: 1 - 3 months working out in the Carpex Region of F3 2 - First Q in the Carpex Region of F3 3 - 1 Year Anniversary of F3 May 25th is officially my 1 year anniversary but due to schedule constraints I celebrated it Carpex style this morning at Lion’s Den, an AO that I had only ever been to once before. It looked good on paper

It seemed simple enough. Run around Bond Lake and stop and do exercises every tenth of a mile. I’m just not sure where my calculations went wrong. Was the warm up too long? Was the PAX too slow? Was the rampant Mumble Chatter too mumbley? Perhaps it was the shared fear of tripping over a tree root or coming in contact with poison ivy. Maybe it was having Disco Duck’s recent copperhead snake warning ringing in our ears, trying to figure out who was going to carry Liverpool out of the woods if he gets bit again or was Grease Monkey’s silent protesting slowly spreading through the PAX.
