Nemesis

Odd title, right? Well, I don’t just mean rival or enemy or generic bad thing. I am going old-school for the classical Greek meaning of the goddess who enacts retribution on an individual suffering hubris, or foolish pride. Or, in the immortal words of Brick Top, “Do you know what nemesis means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an ‘orrible c**t — Apex Nature Park. [Read More]

Fellowship Run

Three PAX met in the yellowish gloom for a 3 mile fellowship run. We started with the disclaimer and pledge, then jogged through downtown Apex while getting to know each other. Stopping at the Train Station, we soaked up some the history while doing 7s with star fish and burpees. On to Bounty Hunter’s, but no one was there – we were too early. Circling back to the Apex PD parking lot, we did more 7s with merkins and squats. [Read More]

More like HIMstamine, am I right?

Holy hell, dat yellow stuff is everywhere. Regardless, we pushed through. A group of HIM out for an EC run, and YHC set off to chase down Theismann for ECP. Check out our convo on getting better on today’s PUT6. We wrapped up recording just in time to hear the pax getting restless, it must be spot on 0545. A backwards run for the Q gave me a chance to drop the moving disclaimer on the pax before we’re up to the lot for warmups. [Read More]

Circles and Compasses

28 HIM show-up in the gloom expecting an epic Yogi beatdown. Well, some plans are meant to change and YHC has stepped up to take the Q. Weclome FNGs Quidditch and Double Dutch. After a mumbling, bumbling disclaimer and pledge at the flag, we head left and to the large circle for: Warm Up Good mornings Cotton Pickers Steve Earls Arm twirly thingies including behind the back. 7 of Diamonds on the Diamond

It’s always nice to feel like your making a difference in your community. As I was doing a virtual scout on Annie L. Jones Park I did as I always do when preparing for a Q and I open up the Exicon to see what may lend itself to we’re to work it. As I was researching I was pleasantly surprised to see an exercise I had submitted to the Exicon a few months back was now officially received into the Exicon! [Read More]

F3Prayer24

As I look around at the pax, I realize there are some new faces to me. Introductions were made to Carvana and Skipper, both here to Ruck. Noticeably missing was Fort Mills’ Dirty Hairy who was recently seen blotting out the sun, sporting his newly minted CARPEX™ Hello Kitty officially licensed gear, and was invited to attend N.W. Carpex’s premier High Tempo bootcamp. 🤐 A highly abbreviated disclaimer was shared….man can Hi-Liter talk, why don’t you lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance? [Read More]

No Mercy Mile

Pro tip: Write your BB as soon possible. This saving them up for the end of the week thing is for the birds. And not that much unlike my struggle to remember what I was doing about 30 hours ago the Exicon provided a doozy of a workout involving the track. I rarely post, or Q for that matter, where there is a running track so I made the most of this opportunity. [Read More]

Reflection Rock

Good morning. YHC was on the Q sheet, then Pickles asked for it for his anniversary, then Pickles had a tooth fall out or something, so I’m back baby. Fresh off a fulfilling, yet taxing, 30-minute block for #F3Pray24 and I was ready to lead the pax for a solid beatdown.Seeing 1 FNG, and taking time to mention Pray 24, a quick bow of the heads before we left the lot; pax were witnessed to a prayer + mission statement + disclaimer combo. Passions

The corporate waiver was delivered. The pax were tasked to learn everyone’s PASSIONs, there would be a test at the end, huh (deer in the headlights expressions ensued). It was then determined that one of Denali’s favorite meals is green bean casserole sans onions, Dinali will be our rabbit. Murmurings of WTF followe. Mosey over to Global Knowledge and paint the lines, then circle up for sundry warm-up exercises. I believe there were some SSH, good mornings, wind mills, and runners stretches. [Read More]
