The Clean up Continues

The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry… as did this Q. Having pledged our allegiance we moseyed about 5 lights down for a quick warm up. WARM UP We acknowledged ‘76 once again in the as it was a year that would forever change the course of my parents life. Performed 4 sets of Merkins (20,20,20,16 = 76). Between the sets we Side Straddle Hop, Good Morning, American Hammer, Australian Snow Angel. [Read More]

Ain't No Rattlesnakes in Downtown Cary

Another beautiful evening in downtown Cary. YHC is here, Speed Racer is here, Traffic Cone is here…wait, who’s that? Is it? Can it be? It’s Napster, our brother from F3Denver coming home for a visit. Warm-Up Mosey around to the parking lot next to Page Walker and circle up for hillbillies, Sir Fazios, mountain climbers and imperial walkers. The Thang Mosey over to the bank and grab some bench for irkins, dips, derkins and ALRSUs. [Read More]

Crossing the Busy Road Twice

YHC always try and start his BB listing the number of Pax. It seems the past few Qs that’s been a feat of its own. We had 21 when we left the flag. We had 20 when we got back and we had 21 again when we got to our cars. Let the Q explain (and tell ya what we did!) 0530: Intro and Disclaimer (there was an applause of sorts even. [Read More]

How Not to Win Friends & Influence People

Someone mentioned to me last week that I had the Q this week at FOD. I had not remembered that. It would have been super embarrassing to travel across CarPEX Nation and miss a Q at FOD. I mean, who does that? Anyway, given this is the OG Tuesday AO in CarPEX, I wanted to bring it. Nobody splashed but the level of hatred thrown my way leads YHC to the following conclusion: mission accomplished. [Read More]

A River Runs Through It

I know all you Robert Redford fans are rolling your eyes right about now but trust me, I wouldn’t steal it if I truly didn’t need it. Now that Flo is no mo and being how we are the men of F3 it only made sense to me that we take the lead in returning our little community park back to pre-storm conditions (or at least the running path). As I pre-blasted, we’ll mosey around the Apex Lake clearing debris as we go. [Read More]

We’re Not Sissies

Pre-Blast 9 HIM spat in the face of adversity as Fo spat in our faces. I think we won. YHC has heard through the grapevine that our FNG this AM, who we eventually named Flo-Rida, had questions regarding the strenuousness of our workouts. YHC was committed to giving him a proper introduction. We’re not sissies. The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at the flag Run to DDMS, circle up behind the school. [Read More]

An Open Letter to Scott of Colorado

Scott, I saw your response to Geoff and I see where your confusion is. F3 does NOT think “men are natural leaders”—quite the opposite, in fact. Also your definitions of “faith” and “leadership” are (at least the way F3 uses them) inaccurate. F3 is a regionally based, FREE-of-charge workout group that is NOT affiliated with ANY religious organization. “Leadership” means servant leadership in family, relationship and community. “Faith” means surrounding yourself with strong, motivated men (who may or may not practice your particular brand of religion or atheism) that support you, hold you accountable and expect you to do the same for them. (Not) Weather-Shamed

Pre-Blast 8 HIM braved less-than-tropical-storm conditions to avoid the MaBell weather shaming. The rest of you…look out. The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at the flag Run approx. five yards. Drop for 25 LBC IC and 5 10-sec. Superman Holds. Welcome the late-arriving Callahan and join him for 10 Victory Burpees. Run to the Community Center. Circle up for: Good Mornings, Groiner Merkins/Runner’s Stretch, Hand Release Merkins, SSH, Hillbillies. The Thang****s [Read More]

Hanging with My Hose

Hanging with my hose This BB is bought to you courtesy of Carl Schreiber, 42, @Frisco While planning the birthday Q for the best limited run workout AO in CARPEX, Mr. @Frisco DM’d me that he had some extra hoses hanging around. Initially, YHC had concerns about taking him up on his offer to use his hoses but decided to take a chance. Hey, it’s my birthday Q, what could go wrong? ScareFlo

The Carpex social medias were abuzz the past few days: would the AOs be open on Friday? Turns out the answer was yes, as Hurricane Florence’s weather held off just enough for the men to safely post across Carpex. That being said, the followers of DangerZone across the globe wondered who the QIC would be. With @shutincarpex signed up with the Q, the weather was still very suspicious, so Shut-In understandably opted to stay closer to home.
