Care and feeding of a Crazy Train

It was hot. No, seriously, it was hot. And the train was late. And there was a Pimento Cheese street festival bearing down on us like an ill names Hurricane in June. So as you can see, it was the perfect CATSUP. Disco, Dice, and I posted at Phoenix for a Kitty beat down. After an excellent beat down, we circled up and made sure we we had coolers, water, sports drinks and fruit. [Read More]

Crazy Train Lifesavers 6/9/18

Lifesaver: A thing that saves one from serious difficulty, a ring-shaped life preserver, a piece of candy. AKA: Disco Duck, Yoga Mat and Dice! The Thang: 12 Pax Met at Bradford’s Ordinary 6/9 at 0745. Scratch that the train is delayed (of course), make it 0845. Didn't Mean to Asterisk

YHC had a strange Sunday night. Two brews at the pool and things get discombobulated apparently. Took a “nap” from 1900-2000, then put the kids to bed, then put on the marriage study audiobook for Monday’s 3rdF at Starbucks by Costco from 0645-0715 and proceeded to wake up with the light on, one earbud in and the clock reading 0100…and no plan for the Krypto beatdown in place. 20 mins later the beatdown is planned and the light is off. There's a Tunnel at FWD?

Yes, you gotta jog up Tryon past Piney Plains and down past the fancy apartments on the left to get to it. 10 Pax circled up at 0530, we jogged up to the Veterinarian entrance for a standard Shut-In Warm-Up. Jog up Tryon Rd, do some irkins on the guard rail, jog up Tryon Road, do some LBC’s at the Nationwide office, jog up Tryon Road past the fancy entrance sign at the apartments, to the greenway and back down into the emergency spillway aka/greenway tunnel. Back on the wagon....

Hard to believe - we are here- June 4, 2018 and YHC has not Q’d in 2018 (other than vesper). This from a guy that averaged close to 1x per week in 2017. Oh well, off the horse and here we go. Step 1 - on your 6 - Have a nice day. This was a not so subtle dig at the site Qs that moved their AO start time to 5:30. [Read More]

Crazy(ish) Phoenix

Banjo hit the Pax with news of his trip to the IR and naturally YHC jumped on the chance to Q Carpex’s premiere AO on a Saturday morning. And with the boys headed out for Crazy Train, we had to get a good beatdown in, in their honor as well. Fellowship run at 0605 (sorry Chipper who had been waiting since 0545 chomping at the bit) and the rest of the Pax arrive on-time for a 0630 start. [Read More]
