To get our minds right for the power and solemnity of the Good Friday holiday, a team of 29 HIM commemorated Christ’s journey to Calvary in a special Danger Zone - ‘Stations of the Cross’-edition. The 14-part story of Stations of the Cross follows Jesus from His condemnation by Pilate, to His beaten, lifeless body being laid in a tomb hewn from rock. Each station featured a theme, helping us find new meaning in Christ’s journey.

APFT
While listening to the radio recently, I heard a story about the remedial fitness training for new Army recruits. Apparently, modern American culture doesn’t lend itself to producing citizens that meet the Army’s standards - a lot to unpack there. As is the case with most things, I blame millenials. Think about it seriously, though. Pre-WWII, your average Army recruit probably worked A) on a farm or B) in manual labor and I’m pretty sure spent less than 30 minutes a week on screen time in its various iterations.

QDR and only QDR
Men,
It’s been a, what’s the word I’m looking for? Weird? Scary? Exciting? Few day since the return of Mad Dawg to the Triangle’s number #1 country station, 94.7 QDR. With that, YHC felt moved to host a QDR organized (not themed) workout.
With tank tops on, and a disclaimer ta boot, we’re off with the bluetooth pumping the tunes.
Warm-up: Over to the lot on Walker for:
Good mornings (in radio DJ voice) Quick feet x 9 Donkey kicks x9 Ranger Merkins (don’t google it) x9 Q: Over to the hill on the back side of DTC park for Quadrahill

Amazing Race, Cary Edition
13 PAX hit the streets of Cary for a special edition of Amazing Race. There were only winners in this contest, and everyone showed great spirit and teamwork in completing the challenges. Who knew a scavenger hunt could be so painful?
For something a little different, we gathered in the church parking lot for a quick warmup before learning the rules of the game:
Warmup: Good mornings, Imperial Walkers (or hillbillies, Flacco style), Side straddle hops, Willie Mays Hayes (one of YHC’s favorites)

It's Not Raining on Monday
Finally, a Monday where it has not rained or is raining, and we can do a little bit of traveling with our bells this fine morning. Sooey comes in hot, with Crimson in tow of course and Wilbur slides in on two wheels. We mosey down the parking lot, cutting short our usual warm-up run to help Shut-In cover less distance and circle-up for:
Warm Up Side-Straddle Hops

Limited Running
The Hi-Literversary Week and the Disco Duck Birthday Week overlapped, giving two brothers an opportunity to co-Q Phoenix, the greatest Saturday AO in all of Carpex. Because some of the PAX were running in the Break the Silence 5K later in the morning, we decided today’s workout would be limited running. Disco takes the first half, Hi-Liter takes the second.
Warm-Up
Mosey down to the Parking Lot of Pain and circle up for side straddle hops x 10, imperial walkers x 10, Sir Fazio forward x 10, Sir Fazio backward x 10 and warm up burpees x 7.
