Rucks-Giving

Friday, November 24, 2017 Banjo, Bartman, CK, Emeril [S. Wake], Ma Bell, Midget for Life [S. Wake], Tecumseh, Just a little chatter leading up to Friday night’s Ruck following Thanksgiving with several die hard ruckers out of town while others had family obligations. But, several Carpexers and South Wakers stepped up. A bit of MC preceded the event. Departure time changed to accommodate the NCSU UNC game. It was unanimous that NO ONE wanted Tecumseh’s 60 lb or 80 lb sand bags. [Read More]

Taste of the South

YHC hails from the Midwestern state of Indiana. I lived there most of my life. I was born in Indianapolis in 1986, at St. Vincent’s hospital on 86th street. After a few days there, my parents took me home to E. 186th street in Westfield, where I lived until I moved to West Lafayette to obtain a degree from the best university in the state of Indiana - I’m speaking of Purdue University (which, most recently, was in the news for being the winner of the old Oaken Bucket - the most prestigious rivalry trophy in these United States of America, land of the free, home of the brave). I am thankful & I am third

In an effort to add a few more Q’s to YHC’s list before the end of the year, YHC locked in on Thanksgiving morning at Bradford’s Ordinary a few months ago, only to later find out that it would be a Carpex Convergence… and 60-minutes at that. Have not fear PAX, YHC is up to the task and set forth to drop not only a beatdown on the you, but hopefully an impactful post, thus the theme of I am third. [Read More]

Post-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

3 PAX emerged from their turkey hangovers to post at DZ today. IT was 28 degrees, so low number didn’t surprise me. YHC later learned it was close to being PAX of one…………..Banjo had HC’d to SWW however Mr. Brown slowed him down this morning and he would not have made it there in time. Chanticleer wasn’t feeling well the night before but decided to set his alarm anyway. Thankfully he felt better. 19 pax for a 2.4 mile loop stopping at about 5 spots for some pain stations. Joe Smith led us for some Homer to Marge work at the LDS parking lot. We did some pull ups at the playground, a 10 count down the line inverted sunrise over US1, we finished with some one-arm merkins at the flag. Great work men! Half-A-Murph And Some Other Stuff

YHC was joined by 14 PAX full of mumble-chatter in the slightly-warmer-than-yesterday but still right at freezing gloom, and some traveled outside their normal AOs to cheer me on for my solo VQ. Much appreciated. Having already known someone who spilled merlot during a co-VQ…er…let’s just say that was out of the way so one less thing to be nervous about. No FNG’s, so off we go. 15 PAX took a brisk jog around the lower parking lot and circled up in the shelter parking lot for: [Read More]

Hello Flacco

With a week of travel in front of many PAX, Hello Kitty alerted the Carpex region via GroupMe that there were prime Q spots open all week. A true HIM, Flacco stepped up for his VQ with Kitty close in tow to help along the journey. And with that, it was time for a Hello Flacco butt-whipping. PAX gathered for a gloomy SNS post. Insomnias back in from their jaunt, and a small group of Vespers heading out, it’s time to get after it. [Read More]
