DR in Chi-town

YHC is DR in Chi-Town this week and was, frankly, very much looking forward to posting with the PAX of @F3Chicago. So looking forward to it that a recon was conducted the day before to see what #TheBean had to offer: After recruiting a work buddy to FNG with me in the cold and gloom this morning, I was happy to see that neither a late night (Noonan) nor an illness (Denari) kept the local faithful away. Homecoming

Shakin’ Not Stirred was the first place YHC posted with F3, and it’s always felt like home to me, so I was very excited to Q here for the first time. Warm-Up Mosey over to the community center parking lot and circle up for side straddle hops, merkins, plank jacks, imperial walkers and burpees (at this point YHC really was just trying to get warm). The Thang Mosey over to the shelter at the boat house to find that there were more PAX and less room than YHC expected. [Read More]

Shop Local

Granted, YHC hasn’t been to Bounty Hunters in a while. Typically it’s “fartsack day” but of my most recent posts there the pax have left the park only to return to COT. This set the scene for this morning’s beatdown. We were going to shop local. 12 studs rolled out of bed, some confessing as late as 0530, for a workout YHC preblasted on the Twittersphere. The claim was high tempo, lots of stops, low mileage. The Warm Up: Follow me for a fast 25 yard run to circle up in the parking lot for some typical warm up stuff including SSH, GM, Hill Billies, Sir Farzio Arm Circles/reverse to get those shoulders loose, take a break to get some gloves for Ascot. Busto di Glutei

BB 11 PAX brought their workout clothes to work (or hurried home to change) and met YHC on the Ambassador Loop for a “sans-winkie” Q. Let’s do this. The Gates of Koka Booth will not prevail against Us.

Date 11/13/17 QIC: Fluoride +6 Awesome Pax I arrived at Koka Booth barely on time to find 6 Pax running in the parking lot. I got out of my car and asked why they were running, and the reply was to keep warm. It was that kind of morning, in the low 40’s and raining, a day when most folks would elect to fartsack, but not the brave men of Carpex. [Read More]
