Uphill Both Ways

How long’s FWD been in action? How long has it been since I’ve been there? (last time I posted, Fluoride almost killed me…he’s a BEAST) You mean I’ve never had a chance to Q there? What, it’s Sunday and there’s an open Q slot there (and at Vesper AND at Dante’s Peak)? Fantastic, time to pay a visit to Hermes’ homeland. Spent Sunday evening drawing up my plans, had my Weinke all ready to roll. [Read More]

#MeowMile and #MerkinMonday

YHC pulled up to your neighborhood Food Lion with windshield whippers a’whipping thinking, “this could suck.” But, alas the rain broke and a top-notch Monday was underway. The #MeowMile was converted to the #DiscoDash as a pair of feathered felines headed towards the premiere AO in Apex on a Monday at 0545. After a lovely stroll to the gate, YHC and the Duckman were met by 10 additional Lions, and with Ma-Bell amongst the PAX the promise of #MerkinMonday would hold true. [Read More]

Veteran's Day (Observed)

Pre-BB Quick explanation on the theme of today’s work-out at Wolverine…I was reminded on Sunday at church how easy it is, one week after a school shooting and one day after Veterans Day, to simply slip back into my routine and go on with life. There are many “Monday mornings” when people in painful places go back to their challenges and the rest of us go on with life. Thus, “The Murph” as a reminder that many still face their painful circumstances when the rest of us have returned to our routines. [Read More]

Respect Vesper Q 11/8

Great week of Respects on the Q’s. Very thankful one spot was left open for me to Q. So we circled up and thought about someone dear to us that we have lost, remember the special times together. We then headed out for a nice steady jog, we cut back into Bond Park on the Greenway. We circled up and did 23 Merkins for Gibson. Now it’s time for some hill work, we did 100% half way up and a nice slow jog back down, we then did full out sprints a few more times. [Read More]
