A cold, wet day scared away most of the PAX but 10 hearty souls joined me for an early morning beatdown. As one of the tenants say, rain or shine, cold or hot, you will post to a workout. I briefly thought about shelter work today but, nah, we will warm-up on the running and workout I had planned (mostly). Run over to the curb and start with some quick feet to get the blood going then head-off into the gloom (watch out for Lake Ma Bell Nature Boy!

YHC was more than a little anxious to deliver a good Q at Phoenix, after having been on the DL for a few days. Overplanned it, but had a good time with the Men of Carpex. Glad to see some of the park in the daylight, hope to cover some of that ground again.

24 PAX, YHC forgot one in the list, thanks to Term Paper for the assist!
On this date in 1781 the British astronomer William Herschel discovered … well you had to be there. Remind me to ask Sky Blue about this British discovery. I don’t guess I knew it was that old. Seems like you would need a good telescope to be able to see it from that distance.
Cheddar Bo was once again late for the workout, which required a long jog to warm up.

Today’s Statline: 7 Pax #Insomnia EC, 10 Pax Vesper, 18 Pax SNS
SNS BB: This workout originates from a documentary I watched Monday night, Froning (https://www.hulu.com/watch/939583). 4 time crossfit champ and proclaimed “fittest man in history”. You see, there is great debate amongst myself and Don Ho with xfit lover Other Brother on whether or not you can call yourself fittest on earth just because you win xfit. Any xfitter will say yes and any other sane person will so no.

The Mule can make a man do some crazy things. Things that may be beyond the norm, beyond his normal range. That is really what the Mule is about, heck CSAUP’s in general. Signing up to Q the day before and the day after the Mule was not one of YHC’s smarter moves. Actually it was done with no inspection of this past weekend being the Mule. Still, a commitment is a commitment and must be done and seen thru.

It was another unseasonably warm morning, temp in the 50’s, clear. It was Ash Wednesday. The EC runners rolled after 4ish miles. EC boys included Callahan (had to scoot to shine his shoes and get ready for Refinery), Old Maid, Flip Flop, Shut-In and Hermes. Nice work boys.
25 PAX. 16 for the Burt Boot Camp and 9 for the Running Option.

Rumors have been rampant about a new AO in CARPEx. Was South Wake invading the motherland? An outraged Ma Bell, our local Nantan, was dutifully considering his options against this unprovoked sign of aggression. Under consideration were building a wall, a retaliatory launch in Holly Springs or both. It was determined that 3 of our own would skip SNS/Vesper for a covert recon mission before action would be taken. We arrived in separate vehicles to avoid any suspicions on behalf of the Q or his minions.
